The Snow of Kilimanjaro Audio Book
The Snows of Kilimanjaro is a heartbreaking look into the mind of both Hemingway and its protagonist, Harry. Harry is a man filled with contrasts. He seeks physical challenges but marries a wealthy woman for creature comforts. Ironically, he must confront a situation where he loses his strength and must come to terms with his life. As read by Charlton Heston, Harry is vain, masculine, selfish, and yet the listener feels compelled to sympathize with his plight. I would rate this audio book a 10 because it is engrossing.
